We support our policyholders in developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs – beyond the safety and risk services we provide as part of a workers compensation policy. One way we’re able to do this is through an endorsement*, an addition to an existing insurance policy.
In some cases, policyholders may see certain discounts by putting safety first through participation in one or multiple third-party programs. We offer several programs through third-party service providers to make safety simpler.

OraSure drug testing
We partner with OraSure to provide policyholders with on-demand post-incident drug tests at a discount.
We are dedicated to drug and alcohol-free workplaces and will reimburse up to $55 for each post-incident screening that meets these criteria:
- Customer’s policy must be in force at the time of the accident
- Drug screen must be performed on an employee who was involved in a workplace incident
- A trained collector must perform the drug or alcohol test within 24 hours of the incident
OraSure provides training for policyholders demonstrating how to administer the test and send it to the lab.

WorkSTEPS post-offer employment testing
Post-offer employment testing (POET) can help reduce new hire injuries by determining if a prospective employee is physically capable of performing a job.
We partner with WorkSTEPS to make POET more affordable for policyholders. With POET, your company may:
- Reduce on-the-job injuries
- Boost productivity
- Increase employee retention
- Lower turnover costs (hiring, training, etc.)
- Reduce your e-mod, lowering your premium
- Reduce lost work days
Screen Assist background checks
Safe employees start as quality hires. Like POET, a background screening can be an important part of hiring the right person for the job.
Through our partnership with consumer-reporting agency Screen Assist, policyholders can perform background checks on prospective employees at a discount.
IntegrityFirst pre-hire overt behavioral tests
The IntegrityFirst test is a pre-hire overt behavioral integrity test used to prevent high-risk job applicants from being further considered in the hiring process.
Businesses administer IntegrityFirst pre-interview, so hiring managers can avoid wasting time vetting candidates who engage in high-risk behaviors such as drug and alcohol abuse, theft, hostility or lying.
MEM and Previsor policyholders will have their initial set up fee waived and a discounted rate on screenings.
